With gas prices steadily increasing and the price of food inflating every two months. It is becoming difficult for businesses in the service industry to be able to maintain fair prices for consumer's, while not bottoming out cost Labor just to keep the employees. Most businesses are struggling to meet a criteria and pay employees a minimum of 14/$15 an hour, next to impossible without increasing the prices per meal. Price per plate per employee per hourly rate Literally robbing Peter to pay Paul. Insanity

With those kind of conditions, not even touching on anything else you could only imagine what the cost of living would actually be.

Well here in Columbia South Carolina to be able to afford a three bedroom single family home, You would have to be making a minimum of 35k a year. That roughly boils down to about $17.25/hr just to still be cost burdened, So hypothetically for the average person barley making $15/hr you know exactly what that means. Two jobs and a side hustle just to make a half a of a living. Once again Insanity

The extremely sad part about all of this is the officer's that are sworn to serve and protect us don't even make this if they don't have any ranking. If I worked 12hrs shifts dealt with the public the way they do, placed myself in dangerous positions daily and still barley made ends meet. I would truly have to love my job to stay if that mathematics wasn't mathing and I completely understand a lot of the frustration the job could bring, No excuses for the reckless unfavorable behavior. But with the kind of financial struggles Americans are having I completely understand 🤌🏾.

We can't afford to pay our educator's, We can't afford to pay our officer's. Our businesses are struggling to pay their employees on top of maintaining consumer necessity. We can't afford to make it to work with the price of Gas. The Land of the Free isn't seeming so free anymore, and the Cost of Being American is becoming for more expensive than the average American can afford . If it isn't obvious we're already in a recession more so becoming a full on depression!!

So what exactly is it going to take for America to get their life together again.
